2023 marks the 40th year since the release of &#8216;Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro&#8217;, which many consider the greatest comedy ever made in India. No filmmaker has since come close to achieving the perfect mix of burlesque, camp, irony , satire, gags, and slapstick that Director Kundan Shah did with his bunch of young and relatively inexperienced crew of actors and technicians. To celebrate the film here’s a replay of the Oral History of the film that MW published in 2007.
